Maggie hammin it up before bed. Maelea playing "pirate ship" with Maggie.

Micah had his Halloween party today at school because his teacher will be gone next week on her honeymoon! It was kind of nice to spread the "sugar" out instead of having so much so close to Halloween. Maelea was a princess, Maggie was a pumpkin, and Micah was a doctor. Dan is holding two pumpkins that were both born on the same day! It will be fun to watch them grow and compare them.
Well, Micah is a whopping 33 pounds exactly! Yippee! He is doing great. He did have to get three shots though and he was very sad about that. The purple Popsicle helped a little though. He is doing ok in most areas and is still on the same growth curve he has always been. He is behind but has come so far that I'm not worried and neither is the doctor. She did say though to make sure Micah finds his "niche" somewhere because she doesn't think sports will be his "thing." I appreciate her saying this because it's a real possibility BUT... Micah has a way of proving everybody wrong. I guess only time will tell. He loves to read books, color, ride bikes, cook, go fishing, or anything else with Daddy!
Well, today I asked Micah what he had for lunch at school. He said "Apples, ketchup, and cookies!" Interesting. He is doing so much better lately. He was very happy today. Yesterday he sang with the rest of his class at church in front of the whole congregation. He actually sat down for most of it because he was embarrassed but then he stood up. Last night Dan took Micah and Maelea for a canoe ride so I could take a nap. Dan asked Micah if he had a good time and he said "No... just kidding." We both thought this was hilarious! Ok, that's all for tonight.
We have been enjoying the beautiful fall colors and warm weather lately. Today we went to Spring Arbor for their homecoming. The kids (and Dan) really had fun jumping on the blow-up bouncy things. I got a chance to visit with my friend Carrie who is due TOMORROW to have her baby. We had a good time and are going to have another fun-filled day tomorrow at church with Maggie's dedication and our church's 3-year anniversary picnic.
Micah is feeling better and is back in school today. I got a chance to go to a Mom's conference this past Friday and Saturday in Grand Rapids without any kids! It was a great time with other moms from our church. I know there is a lot more I could put on the blog but I can't really think of anything right now! It will come to me...
Micah now has pneumonia. He is home and resting. His ear is still hurting a lot too so hopefully the new medicine will help with that. Daddy comes home tonight and that will help too!
